Meanwhile in a Far Distant Place
Yesterday again, the number of new cases of Coronavirus in Italy was smaller than the day before. This is the second day in a row: it never happened since the beginning of the Coronavirus spread. Major social distancing measures were adopted on the 9th of March, so the hypothesis that virus spread is slowing down as an effect of such measures is on the table at the moment. There are still many unknowns on this virus: I read an interview with an expert in epidemics, explaining that 40% of infected people show no symptoms. If the containment phase is missed as it was in Europe, strict social distancing is the only way to curb Coronavirus. I cross fingers and hope Italy progress continues tomorrow.
