Such a Perfect Day
Life goes on and today the weather was amazing. We woke up slowly, I did my daily workout and for lunch, we ordered delivery from a Thai restaurant, then my girlfriend went for a nap while I tidied up our bookshelves, something I wanted to kick-off for the longest time. Then I did some German class homework and had a chat with my mum on Skype. When my girlfriend woke up we took advantage of the fact that the lock-out still allows us to go to parks and we went for a walk in a reservoir. Back home, we cooked together and watched a good movie with a glass of white wine and ice cream.
Maybe this is why the virus is here: to remind us that life can be harsh at times, so better savour the good moments.
Oh, and by the way, the sunset was breath-taking.

“Just a perfect day
Perfect Day – Lou Reed – 1972
Drink Sangria in the park
And then later
When it gets dark, we go home
Just a perfect day
Feed animals in the zoo
Then later
A movie, too, and then home
(…)
Just a perfect day
Problems all left alone
Weekenders on our own
It’s such fun
Just a perfect day
You made me forget myself
I thought I was
Someone else, someone good“
